The Wonder Compass

A 21st century SKILLS LEARNING FRAMEWORK

The children of today can lead the regeneration of the planet and the reconnection of humanity by growing up as free, compassionate, creative, and committed global citizens . Our educational adventures are designed to foster these important skills for the 21st Century.

A visual representation of the four directions of our moral compass. The Wonder Compass is the invisible learning framework behind each of our immersive learning experiences.

Children learn social-emotional skills by navigating new challenges and situations. The design of all our work is based on the Wonder Compass, a learning framework composed of four main areas of knowledge:

HUMAN CREATURES! Your compassionate self | Develop consciousness and emotional intelligence (EQ). Some learning goals in this category are:

  • Connect to others and to yourself

  • Develop compassion and embodied empathy.

  • Develop your observer self, learning to listen, observe and communicate with respect, authenticity and compassion.

  • Gain self-awareness and sensibility to the people.

  • Learn to be a good friend and a great team player.

CREATIVE MINDS! Your creative self | Develop creative thinking and other skills for creative expression.

  • Express yourself fully and authentically by exploring diverse outlets of creativity that can help you expand the possibilities to express yourself: through the arts, the dance, the music, theater and all forms of improvisational play.

  • Release your creative self, become a lifelong learner, become a creator and not only a consumer.

  • Learn human-centered design and visual thinking. Build - test- iterate.

FREE SPIRITS ! Your determined self | Develop the inner strength to realize your vision and build your own path in life.

  • Gain clarity and focus about your mission, your goals; and set the steps towards it.

  • Develop self-knowledge and self-confidence so you can choose your own destiny.

  • Become a mission-driven, self-directed and free being.

  • Be authentic and passionate about all you do.

  • Set high quality standards, learn to follow-through and be thoroughful.

  • Build the courage, strength and leadership skills to pursue it.

WORLD EXPLORERS! Your committed self | Gain knowledge of this world we all share and be at service of it.

  • Develop environmental awareness and commitment. Take responsibility.

  • Develop social awareness and commitment. Take responsibility.

  • Become a global citizen and be at the service of the Earth.

  • Gain knowledge and perspective of where we live, study history and past knowledge,

  • Gain respect and love for diversity. Develop solidarity.

  • Learn other languages. Learn about outer cultures and civilizations.

Perhaps in the center of these four areas of knowledge lies the most important life lesson: love yourself and others. These 4 dimensions are the ingredients to build self-esteem from a solid foundation. Healthy routines, healthy relationships, high standards in all you do, full commitment to the truth and your authentic self, full awareness of the reality you live in.

Nurturing these 4 dimensions builds the invisible toolbox of skills (toolbox), habits, tools and techniques that children need to become the highest version of themselves.
