Immersive Adventures in New York City

This Summer 2023, School of Wonder offers Summer and Day Camps in Prospect Park and Brooklyn Botanic Garden for children ages 5 to 10.

SUMMER CAMP THEME

Adventures with Gaia, the full 5 Chapters

In this 5-day Summer Camp, children will go on a mission-based fantasy quest from Gaia (the Greek Goddess of Nature and Earth), who is looking to recruit new Guardians of the Earth to help restore her balance. On this real and imaginary journey, children will have to decipher clues and navigate the forest during exciting missions. Along the way, they will learn about the environment, each other, and themselves. In a final celebration, they receive the title of “Guardians of the Earth” for their commitment, courage and stewardship.

Adventures with Gaia

An environmental program for children in ages 5 to 11 based on immersive-theater mission-led adventures in Prospect Park

ADVENTURES WITH GAIA

“Adventures with Gaia”  is an innovative mission-led environmental curriculum program where children learn about our planet while immersed in a fictional narrative. It consists of 5 chapters or lessons, where children are invited to go on imaginative and real journeys across the park, exploring the environment and environmental issues from a lens of wonder.  With the help of original maps, compasses, audio-messages and mysterious scrolls, children go on adventurous hikes, meet fantastic artists and complete creative missions together.
